Hoosam Ramzy’s expertise in the composition and development of percussion has made him a coveted companion for many artists, many of them in the field of rock, jazz and blues.

For a large group of devotees, Hossam Ramzy embodies the true essence of the world of percussion. Proof of this is his work with artists of the stature and recognition of Peter Gabriel, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Armatrading, Chick Corea, Joe Bonamassa or Jay-Z, among many others.

From the Bedouin enclaves of Saudi Arabia to the Egyptian baladí – urban folk and dance music in their native language – Ramzy fuses sounds from around the world in extensive performances full of hypnotic rhythms. Some performances in which he is accompanied by an international cohort of related musicians who gives him support to get heady nights.
