On April 9, 2007, began the refurbishment of Room XX in the Palais des Nations in Geneva. Following the complete dismantling of the Room, a team of Swiss engineers coordinated by engineer Daniel Starrenberger, started the refurbishment work.
In a first stage, the old dome was replaced by a structure made from an indestructible material called Aerolam, strong enough to support the new dome that Miquel Barceló decorated.
Once the structure of the dome had been renovated, the artwork began.
